ADE black hole?

On my old laptop I have only one purchased book remaining on my account from the many that I have purchased.  My kobo shows that many of my books are in a state of "download pending".

On my new laptop, when I access ADE, I have NO purchased books in my account.

This is ridiculous.  I'm very FRUSTRATED with ADE.

Please help.
