ADE computer authorization problems

Hi, I keep getting an error code when I try to authorize my computer to open a book.  Currently, when I click on the book I'm told that my computer is authorized without an ID (which is strange because I recently bought books for personal use and had to install ADE and authorize my computer in order to be able to copy them to my ebook reader. The error is Activation server error: e_auth_not_ready.

The book was bought on Google books at work. I need to be able to read this book on different computers (not only my work or personal computer) so I need to authorize my computer so that I'll be able to make a copy of the book into a more flexible format.
