ADE crashes after 250 seconds (MacOS Monterey 12.3.1)

Hi all, 

I just downloaded ADE 4.5 to access a uni book I bought online. After installing it, I tried to open an acsm file and then ADE just crashed. I tried repeatedly, but it opens for seconds, then crashes. The report says: Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 11 Segmentation fault: 11. How can I fix this?
