ADE crashes when I connect my Kobo

Whatever version of ADE I install (after having uninstalled any previous version), it keeps crashing as soon as I plug my Kobo Glo ereader in the Usb port. So that I cannot use ADE at all, since I use it to view my books and annotations from my Kobo...

Versions tried : 4.5 - 4.0 - 2.01 - 1.7

I am running Win 7 pro SP1, Intel i5 Ivy Bridge, 8GB Ram

Any idea ?
