ADE does not allow me to change Vendor ID as it is greyed out

My textbook is "missing". I cannot authorize my computer because I cannot change to the correct Vendor ID. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled, now on the 4.5.11 software. Please help

    Any adobe support? I was told I would have to wait for 2-4 hours maximum for a response from an adobe customer service representative. I was told this by an adobe customer service representative that could not help me and referred me to post on this website.
