ADE does not download PDF books

Version: Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.12.112
Operating System: Windows 11 Version 24H2

Issue: Adobe Digital Editions "Downloading Content..." status message remains, green status bar is completed, but the book is not downloaded and does not appear on the Bookshelves. Network traffic is received when viewed through Task Manager, but the file never downloads into the "My Digital Editions" folder.

Affects larger (>50 MB) PDF books such as comic books, but it was able to download a 500MB EPUB book.

How to reproduce issue:

1. Download ACSM file from Overdrive for a book (in PDF format) borrowed from the public library.
2. Double-click ACSM file which opens Adobe Digital Editions.
3. Pop-up window which shows "Downloading Content..." status will show green status bar eventually complete, but book doe not download.
   
   Troubleshooting steps taken:

• Rebooted computer
• Uninstalled Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.12.112, re-installed, and re-authorized.
• Installed ADE on another Windows 11 24H2 computer and was able to reproduce the issue.
