ADE doesn't recognize device

Recently upgraded Mac Air to Monterey OS.  Computer recognizes Kobo device but ADE 4.5 does not show it.  I have re-authorized the computer - no joy.  I would revert to ADE 3.0 but Monterey will not support it.

I am hoping that someone can help.
