ADE for Windows 8

I have a problem with the ADE software in my new computer. It cannot read the books. I get the following error "E_AUTH_NOT_READY" WHY!! this is. I tried to unregistry  the computer but when I try to do so I get a message that says:"unable to erase authorization, please try after sometime" I need help please. thank you

    If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:

    Windows:

    Choose Start > Run.

    In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

    In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

    Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.

    In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

    Your authorization will be deleted.

    ADE will be deauthorized now.

    Now Authorize ADE again.

    Thanks, for the info. I already tried this and I do not see the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/software\Adobe\Adept"  I get to the registry key section but not to the adobe key part, however I will give it one more try. I will keep you post it, and thank you again for the information.

    If you do not see this entry, then ADE is not authorized.

    Authorize ADE and try to download the book again.
