ADE Freezes. It's authorized & book loads but cannot open book

I've just set ADE4.5 up on a new computer and had to create a new username to authorize it. Succeeded, but I can't get it to work. The cover of the library book I downloaded shows, but nothing happens when I click on it. PC running Win11Pro.

I have 3.0 so tried to open the book with it but it said the book was already in the library.

I actually began having problems with ADE on my old computer, running Win10. Is there a problem running this in newer versions of Windows? I don't have any other device to try.
