ADE is not cooperating!

I have a Nook Glow Light, which had been cooperating nicely with ADE until recently. Now when I plug my nook into my computer, ADE doesn't recognize the device. I've been to the library- there is no trouble downloading eBooks, I went to the Microsoft store- my computer recognizes my nook, I have spent hours scouring forums, and finally spoke with Adobe customer support this afternoon. I've tried everything! I can't tell you how many times I've installed and uninstalled, authorized and reauthorized ADE. NOTHING works!! Does anyone have an idea about how to fix this?!
