ADE keeps showing "library is loading"

When opening ADE 4.5 it only shows 'library is loading". But the library is not opening. Even when I restart the PC the problem stays the same.

How can I resolve this?

    I have found some library showing problems can be because I think something in the folder,"My Digital Editions", isnt right. I have renamed my folder "My Digital Editions old", then uninstalled ADE 4.5 and reinstalling it right back in the default place. In my case this made another new folder "My Digital Editions", and then my books were now in this new folder and showing in my ADE library. I would always backup all your books somehere else  first. This worked for me.

    After reading my reply, I thought it best to clarify that the files in your "My Digital Editions" folder are only markers for old books you have checked out and returned, or books you have on loan now. That's probably oversimplified, but as the saying goes, "Just because I can fix the problem of my car not running by filling it up with gas, that doesn't make me a mechanic."
