ADE not recognizing my Kobo e-reader

I have a Kobo e-reader and have always been able to connect it to ADE. Last week and ever since, it is not showing up under 'Devices'. 

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE. I de-authorized and re-authorized my computer. I did a factory reset on the Kobo, and I tried a couple different cables. But nothing worked. Are you able to please assist me?
