ADE on Windows doesn't play audio files

I have an ePub3 ebook I am testing that includes audio and video files. Created using InDesign CC. On all platforms the video plays well, and on the Mac, iOS and Android, the audio plays. On ADE in Windows 8, the links and icons on the page have disappeared, and the audio files can't be played. The files are still there in the ePub3 file, and if extracted will play.

Has anyone run across this before? If so, if there a fix?
