ADE opens an e-book but the pages are not visible

I installed a new Windows 10 PC and Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.

Even if I can open books in my ADE library, the app only shows the cover page.

The cusrsor moves but pages no not appear visible.
I am in a hurry for tight time-table, so what can I do.
