ADE stopped recognizing my Kobo Glo

A week ago Adobe Digital Editions stopped recognizing my Kobo Glo when I plugged it into my lap top so I can no longer tranfer library books. I tried reinstalling Digital Editions, I now have version 3.0. My computer recognizes my Kobo as an ereader when I go to Devices, but when I go to My Computer it sees it as removable disk D and I can't open it. I can still purchase and download books from Kobo and sync no problem. I have also tried a new cable for my Kobo and that didn't help either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
