ADE will connect to Fulfillment Center when downladign a book from Reads Library

All of a sudden, within the last couple of weeks, we are not able to download books, getting this pop up error window that ADE cannot connect to the Fulfillment Center. What gives? Please advise what may be wrong. We have tried everything to no avail.

Anything on his system (firewall, proxy and so one) block the connection to the server.
