ADE won't download an ebook

I can't download a digital book from the library... it gives me this message in ADE: Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:
E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY

I've had this issue before and it was fixed by colating my three devices. now the problem is back.
