ADE won't open all the way

I've been using ADE for years now but recently it wouldn't open at all.  After un/reinstalling it worked briefly.  Now every time I want to download a book I have to un/reinstall.  WTH?  Tried the chat option but that was amazingly unhelpful.  Any one else have this problem?  How did you fix it?  OH and to top it all off, my library is gone.  HELP!!
