ADE Won't open epub ebook, License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY

I downloaded an epub ebook from my local online library, however, when I try and open said book ADE comes up with License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY. I've checked and ADE is authorized with my adobe account and it won't let me erase the authorization to try and redo it. Not really sure what to do next.
