ADE won't open in last week

For some reason, Adobe Digital Editions won't open on my computer now, despite working fine thru last week. I'm using Windows 10. When I check the Task Manager, I see Adobe Acrobat Update Service running as a background service, but no ADE or any other Adobe product. Any tips on what I should do? Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work. ADE is the only way for me to get books on my ereader, so I'm super panicky!
