Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.1-License Key is damaged-Please Help!

I'm unable to open my ebook (on any reader NOW!).  Apparently when I reinstalled the ADE the license key is not longer recognizable. I contacted Adobe Customer Service via chat who tells me to post here and I contacted the ebook provider who informs me that all is need is a 'Erace Authorization' process that does not work when I use it in ADE.  I have an online exam closing today that I can't study for because of this issue.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
