Adobe digital edition activation failure

I changed computer and tried to use my books from my ADE library. Does not work as ADE 4.5 does not open. I changed to 3.0 and I could reald books that I had already in my library but cannot upload any new. It gives me error message that check activation. What activation I need to do?
