Adobe Digital Edition deauthorise

Hi,

I have issues where I cannot deauthorise an account linked to adobe digital edition on my Mac.

The password is long forgotten and the email can no longer be accessed as it was removed by the provider once I finished school. 

Has anyone had any success in deauthorising an account to set up a new one? I'd really like to be able to use my kobo.
