Adobe Digital Edition Error Getting Licenses

I downloaded ADE to read an an academic e-book that I purchased.  foolishly set as "authorize computer", then had to uninstll ADE due to a computer recorruption and re installed now the e-book will not open even after I download again from the internet the error I get is

License Server Communications Problem

E_Lic_Already fulfilled by another user

I have a user account but this does not work either !
