Adobe Digital Edition not changing page when displaying e-book

Not sure if anyone has encountered the same problem before. The same ebook (.epub) works fine on my desktop (windows 7 professional) but whenever I tried to open it on my laptop (windows 😎 it took longer to open also the display always showed the same page regardless the actual page number I was on. If anyone could provide a solution what would be awesome.

    The book that you are trying with is a free book or DRM protected book ?
