Adobe Digital Editions

I have Adobe Digital Editions on my computer.  It is authorized without an ID.  I want to authorize the computer so that

I can transfer e-books from the computer onto a Kobo Reader.  I do have an Adobe ID and password.

I need some help with fixing my problem.
