Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.1 in Windows 10

I am running Windows 10. On my old laptop I was running Windows 8 with ADE 3,0 with no problems. On my new laptop I installed ADE 4.5.1, I have installed and uninstalled ADE 4.5.1 5 times and I still cannot get it to download books that I purchased. I have authorized my new laptop. I have run the troubleshooter, and nothing helps. If I can't get ADE to work probably I will have to get another program with much regret since I have used ADE for over 4 years without a problem. Please advise. Thank you.

    i have the same problem.  You are talking about another program instead of ADE, which one can we use ?
