Adobe Digital Editions 4.5

I use adobe digital edition 4.5 for downloading library books onto my Nook.  For the last two days everytime I download a book onto my Nook I get an error message that says Error opening book,book has been returned, but it hasn't been returned.  I've called my library and Nook and they can't help me.  Can Adobe help me??
