Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 not saving bookmarks

Within the last month I started experiencing issues with ADE 4.5.2. I would bookmark multiple pages but when reopening the ADE none of the bookmarks are saved. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the software twice with same results. I am using Windows 7 laptop. Anyone else having this issue and know how to fix it?
