adobe digital editions 4 has stopped working

When I try to add a book from itunes library, I get the error message "adobe digital editions 4 has stopped working"

I have uninstalled and re-installed and still get the error.

Please advise how to correct this?

I'm experiencing the same issue. This error continues to appear during initial install on windows 7 OS. All drivers & updates are current, and no more of an explanation is provided, except "Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.10 has stopped working" Do I need an older version perhaps??
