adobe digital editions

first i just want to say i'm extremely disappointed in the customer service of this company. the hoops i've had to jump through are unacceptable

i have adobe digital editions and it needs to update, but when i go to update it, it tells me i'm not connected to the internet, which isn't true since i am posting this message. please help
