Adobe Digital Editions

I have been having problems trying to re-authorise my Kobo e-reader with ADE. I received a message saying I had reached the limit of machines allowed per ID even though I only have one computer and one e-reader and no-one else has access to these. I spoke with Adobe support via chat and was promised an e-mail within 24 hours to solve the problem, however, after 2 days I had not received any, so I tried Adobe support via chat again and was told to refer to the forums. Can anyone help with this?
