Adobe Digital Editions

I have reinstalled Adobe Digital Editions on my PC

the books formerly added to the previous version of ADE are no longer readable

the adobeID and password created during the installation of ADE are not valid for the "old" books

I have obtained new files from the vendor of the ebooks, without any effect on ADE

It seems I used Adobe in the past via a social account, I do not remember any need for authorisation

How should I proceed to have all the books available,
