Adobe digital editions and Bluefire?

Purchased 2 ebooks, successfully downloaded to my Mac with Adobe Digital Editions!  Why can I not see the books on my iPad or iPhone using Bluefire?  I know the ebooks were downloaded to my Mac's Hard Drive, but somehow I needed to log in to Adobe Digital Editions…Wouldn't my ebooks be in the "Adobe servers"…at the least the titles.  When I go to the Adobe Digital Edition we site and log in, it says I have nothing purchased!
