Adobe Digital Editions App less than desirable

Adobe Digital Editions needs some work. I purchased a digital book for my graduate class, and the navigation glitches.  I can’t highlight nor annotate within the text. I am so frustrated that I purchased a book without knowing that the Adobe Digital Editions was going to be a barrier to my being able to interact with the ttext. I am a teacher who uses iBooks, PDF Cabinet on the regular. The app was a disappointment compared to all the other Adobe products I use. I am reporting for all the teachers who will do the same thing I did and purchase from a reputable publisher only to be disappointed in the limitations of Adobe Digital Editions.
