Adobe Digital Editions - error with copying and pasting

Adobe Diital Editions used to let me copy and paste my Italian book into google translate, but now the "Copy" button when I right click is grayed out. It won't let me copy or Ctrl+C. Help me! I have restarted my computer several times and still no luck
