Adobe Digital Editions Exit Code 1223 upon successful install

We are noticing that our installs of ADE 4.5.7 are exiting with code 1223 even though it appears that the software installed correctly.  We can manage that through CM12, but it would be nice to understand what's happening to generate that code.  I'm noticing that there are a lot of questions about 4.5.7, but all post installation which makes me go, Hmmmmmm.  Any suggestions or observations would be much appreciated.
