Adobe Digital Editions library access

I downloaded today the Adobe Digital Editions in my new PC and purchased 2 ebooks.  The first time I opened the program I saw my existing libary and after a short while the 2 new books too.  However after closing the program and reopening it later on, I cannot see the previous books of my library, I see only the 2 books I purchased today. I de-authorized the PC, erased the program, reinstalled it and re-aurhorized the PC multiple times, but to no avail. On my ipad, where I have also the ADE installed, I can see my previous library books but not the 2 ones I bought today.   I would appreciated it if you have any suggestions for tackling this problem.
