Adobe Digital Editions Server Connection Error

Hi,

This is the first time I have installed Adobe Digital Editions when I select Help > Authorize Computer it asks me to put in my Adobe ID and Password which I do then it says Connection Error - Digital Editions could not connect to activation server.  Please make sure you are connected to the internet. To retry click the Try Again button.

I am connected to the internet and cannot figure out why this is happening - I am running windows 10 (version 1511 OS Build 10586.545) and Version 4.5.2.151207 of Digital Editions.

Can anyone advise?
