Adobe Digital Editions - Skipping Pages

I am reading the book Mosquitoland, by David Arnold, and I have a problem. I seem to either be missing pages or the pages are being skipped. When I press "next", it skips ahead 7 pages every time, which prevents me from reading and understanding the book. And when I search for the pages in between, it only shows the pages that are 7 pages apart. I'd like to know how to fix this so I can actually read the book.
