Adobe Digital Editions will not launch on Win 10

I had to do an unexpected shut down of my Surface computer. Digital Editions was running at that time. After the computer reboot "Adobe Digital Editions 4.5" will not open anymore. When I double-click on it to start, it seems for a second as if the program will open, but nothing happens and there is no error message.

I tried uninstalling / reinstalling the program several times, but it stills react the same way. I don't understand what happened since ADE was functioning properly before.

Is there any fix for this problem ? Is this a problem with the registry ?

Please help !

    I just moved my file  « My Digital Editions »   into another folder on my pc and its working !

    Try right click and run as admin?

    If not work you can try this:
    Rename the My Digital Edition Folder under your Documents.
    Then try to open again.
