adobe digital editions will not respond or open please help!!

Question

I really just need help getting the adobe reader to respond and open. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. I tried restoring the settings. I tried troubleshooting and changing the settings. All it does is give me an error saying it stopped working everytime I try to open it. Please respond if you really know what your talking about thank you.

There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0 (and 2.0.1). Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.

(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)

Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
