Adobe digital edituin 4.5 not working

I bought a new notebook and installes Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. I transfered all my ebooks to the new notebook and also authorised the new notebook/ Now none of my ebooks are working, I can only see the cover when I open one/ Can you please help me? Many thanks
