Adobe Digital Rights is not authorized. Can you help fix this?

The error on my Kobo reader states:"This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DMR) and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID and try again."

My Adobe ID is OK and I can sign in.

The books are being downloaded from the library and I have been doing this for a couple of years. I recently upgraded to Adobe 4.5.
