Adobe Id cannot be authorized

I am trying to download an e-book I purchased from Takealot onto my Android tablet (Proline). I have to download the e-book via the takealot reader. I have installed the latest version of adobe digital editions on my tablet and my adobe account has been verified. However, when I try to download the e-book, the takealot reader asks for adobe authorization. When I insert my account name and password which has been verified, the message states that my details cannot not be authorized by the device?
