ADOBE ID - Error message: Your account number has exceeded the maximum number of activations.

Hello. I am receiving the following error message:

Your account number has exceeded the maximum number of activations.

I was instructed by my e-book provider to contact adobe to reset my account. My contact in the live chat advised to check the forum.

Please reset my account or advise how I shall proceed.
