Adobe link to ADE 3.0 gone

Using windows 8 and 7. ADE 4.5 stopped working. Cannot read book on computer, error. Can't move to Kobo, copy not allowed. Library recommended installing ADE 3.0. Link goes to ADE 4.5. Deauthorized ADE and Kobo, uninstalled ADE, removed files from documents. Reinstalled and reauthorized. Still Errs. Same problem on friends computer. Tried a different computer still errs. Tried all suggestions I could find on-line. Still errs. I have to assume that the authorization process is not working and that there is nothing I can do?

It works. You have to de-re-authorize ADE both in pc and Kobo.

I spent 5 hours to collect informatons but finally I succeded.

    This link to ADE 3 worked and has solved my issues. I can now successfully transfer library books to my e-reader using ADE 3.  Thanks

    Unfortunatelly you are right, seems like link to ADE 3 is defunct. To add insult to injury ADE 4.5 will not work on my laptop either (although it seems fine on an Android base tablet) ... furthermore ADE 4 is just as flaky and near useless.

    Luckily I am a born doubter and, at some time in the past, I hav agtually saved the download which, thanks to the gods in mysteriuos computerland, work and now I ham happily using ADE3 (that is untill the Adobe boffins take it into their mind to can it).

    All I can sugest is hunt in your download files and you may be lucky and find an ADE3 dowload.

    Your post saved me!  I had MS put some kind of .NET Service Pack on my computer so I could download (an OLD SAVE VERSION!!!!).  However, agent also told me if I get HP (laptop mfg) to update BIOS(?), it would allow 4.5 to function with my nook.  We shall see.  The 3.0 ADE is not quite formatted the same as before, but I'm going to work at it.  Thanks!
