Adsobe Digital Editions authorization

I uninstalled Adobe Digital Editions and then reinstalled the latest version using: ADE_4.5_Installer.exe

But I cannot get it to load" any books. I get the message:
"Error! Check Activation."

I tried "erasing computer authorization" with the intent of reauthorizing it later, but get the message
"Unable to erase authorization; Please try after some time"

I have tried multiple times over a period of 5 hours

I've run AdobeExpiryCheck
C:\Users\jim>type DELL-HOME.txt

No expiring/expired serial number found on the system ...

AdobeExpiryCheck exit code : 0
