After moving a library ebook to my Nook, when I try to open it to read it says the "book has been returned. loan not on record". What is going on?

Since I just borrowed the book, this has not been returned. It shows up on my computer fine where I can open and read, but cannot open on my Nook. Help please? Have always been able to use before until now.
