Authorisation my Kobo

Most of my books were purchased and authorised with one Adobe ID. I have updated the software and it is registered to my ID that I use with Adobe Cloud. I need to authorise my Kobo reader but when I try to do so it states that it cannot because the IDs on computer and Kobo need to be the same. How can I overcome this?
